George Anderson III, age 72, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Jay County Hospital.
George was born on May 29, 1944, in Saginaw, Michaigan, the son of George and Idella (Taylor) Anderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He worked for General Motors in Michigan and retired from Jay Products in Portland. He was a member of the Portland American Legion Post #211 of Portland, Ealges Lodge in Portland and the VFW in Fort Recovery.
