George "Donnie" Hutchens

George “Donnie” Hutchens, age 60, a resident of Portland, passed away at his home in Portland.

Donnie was born November 3, 1963, in Portland, Indiana, the son of George and Rosa Lea (Roe) Hutchens.  He graduated from Jay County High School and attended Vincennes University.  Donnie previously worked as a cook at Richards Restaurant in Portland where he was affectionally known as Uncle Donnie. He also worked at W&M Manufacturing and Priority Plastics in Portland.  Donnie enjoyed singing Karaoke where he could be found performing for the residents at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.

His sister:  Linda Aker (husband Mike) – Portland, Indiana

Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rosa Lea Hutchens and 2 sisters; Brenda Hartley and Bonnie Grigsby.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
