Gerald D. Shawver
May 8, 1935 — December 10, 2015
Gerald D Shawver, age 70 a resident of Portland passed away on Thursday December 10, 2015 at Markle Health and Rehabilitation. Gerald graduated from Jefferson High School in Randolph County in 1953. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for Sheller Globe for 16 years and Juillerat Trucking for a 14 years.
Gerald was born May 8, 1935 in Jay County the son of Orlie and Inez (Starr) Shawver. He was married on February 14, 1965 to Reba Brooks.
Survivors Include:
His beloved wife- Reba Shawver – Markle, Indiana
1 Son- Steven Shawver – Portland, Indiana
1 Daughter- Kimberly Dreiband (Husband David) – Bluffton, Indiana
3 Grandchildren: Quinn Dreiband, Connor Dreiband and Luke Dreiband
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery.
