Gordon Bye, age 74 a Portland resident passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at his home in Portland. Gordon was an associate of the Jehovah Witness he was also a truck driver for 7 years then retired from the Portland Forge in 2008.
Gordon was born on July 25, 1941 in Jay County, Indiana. The son of Paul and Ethel (Priest) Bye. He was married to Irene (Love) Bye on April 2, 1960.

2 Daughters- Brenda Smith (husband-Randy) – Markle, Indiana
Bridget McCracken (husband-Kevin) – Hunington, Indiana
3 Sisters- Elaine Dayton (husband-Howard) – Eaton, Indiana
Betty Sutton – Winchester, Indiana
Jeanne Yocum (husband-Richard) – Louisville, Kentucky
4 Grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 5pm- 7pm on Monday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral will be at 2pm Tuesday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Burial will follow at Liber Cemetery with Pastor Keith Pepple officiating the service.
