Gregory Gierhart

Gregory “Greg” Gierhart, age 63, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at IU Health Jay in Portland.

Greg was born August 22, 1962, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Tommy and Nellie (Brock) Gierhart. He graduated from Jay County High School and earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Greg served in the U.S. Army, Army National Guard and U.S. Air Force. He found great joy and freedom riding his motorcycle, embracing every mile of the open road.

Zondra Hall – Kentucky

3 grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Nellie Gierhart and several siblings.

Services to celebrate Greg’s life will be held at a later date.
