Gurleen Prokop

Gurleen Prokop, age 85, a resident of Portland, passed away on Monday July 31, 2023 at I.U. Health Jay Hospital in Portland, Indiana.  Gurleen was a 1955 graduate of Kenwood High School in Baltimore, Maryland.  She retired as a bookkeeper from Legum Chevrolet in Maryland.

Gurleen was born November 27, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of John and Edna (McKoy) Stratemeyer.  Gurleen was preceded in death by 2 husbands.

Survivors Include:

1 Son - William Jon Congdon (wife Colleen) – Brunswick, Maine

1 Daughter – Pearl Lynn Mikulski – Portland, Indiana

2 Brothers – John Henry Stratemeyer (wife Barbara) – Baltimore, Maryland

William Stratemeyer – Baltimore, Maryland

5 Grandchildren – John Mikulski (wife Amy) - Portland, Indiana

Jennifer Neuschwander (husband Nathan) – Springfield, Missouri

Stuart Congdon – Brunswick, Maine

Troy Congdon (wife Casey) – Millis, Massachusetts

Matthew Congdon (wife Emily) – Bath, Maine

10 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date in Maryland.
