Helen Wright

Helen Wright, age 80, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at her home in Portland.

Helen was born August 1, 1943, in Hamilton County, Indiana, the daughter of Edward “Bud” and Marjorie (White) Cottingham.  Helen was co-owner with her husband of J&M Construction and she retired from Createc in 2005. She attended New Beginnings Holiness Church.  Helen married James “Jimmy” Wright on August 26, 1960 and he passed away on October 10, 2010.

Her children:  Steven Wright (Cathy) – rural Portland, Indiana

Elizabeth Kay Coleman (husband Berry) – Troy, Ohio

1 sister:  Sue Boughman – Portland, Indiana

4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Pastor Randy Smith will officiate and burial will follow at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
