James L. Pearson

James L. Pearson, age 61 a resident of rural Pennville passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.  He was a member of Hopewell of Life Ministries in Greene Twp..  He worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Portland and Fuqua Chrysler in Dunkirk.  He loved his firearms and fishing, and enjoyed visiting area State Parks.

James Pearson was born July 15, 1957 in Hartford City, Indiana the son of Robert and Myrtle (Smith) Pearson.

Survivors Include:

Son- Andrew Pearson (wife- Kimberly), South Carolina

1 Brother- John R. Pearson, Portland, Indiana

3 Sisters- Janice Vore, Portland, Indiana, Roberta Duncan (husband-James), Ossian, Indiana, and

R. Joan Teeters (husband-Clinton), Ft. Wayne, Indiana

Aunt- Marie Flory, Portland, Indiana

Several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bill and Jackie Pearson

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm Friday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday at the Funeral Home.  Pastor Herb Hummel will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Ft. Recovery, Ohio.
