Jessica Hunt

August 10, 1985 — June 25, 2025

Jessica Hunt, age 39 a resident of rural Portland, passed away on June 25, 2025, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on August 10, 1985, in Bluffton, Indiana, and had a life filled with love, family, and a passion for the outdoors. She was remembered as a kind soul who took joy in every moment spent with her loved ones. A graduate of Southern Wells High School in 2004, Jessica blossomed into a devoted wife and mother, embodying the spirit of warmth and generosity that defined her.

Together with her beloved husband, Nathan Hunt, she dedicated herself to the operations of Hunt's Old School Customs, where their shared vision and strong work ethic came to life. Their partnership was built not only on love but also on a mutual commitment to building something special for their community. Her family motto was “We’re a family, we’re a team.”

Jessica cherished her role as a mother to her six beautiful children: Justin Thomas, Christiana Hunt, Summer Hunt, Nathan Hunt Jr., Josie Hunt, and Jessalyn Hunt. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and spirit as they navigate the world, deeply rooted in the values she instilled in them.

She found solace and peace in the serene companionship of horses and the beauty of the great outdoors. Jessica's connection to nature was profound; she embraced each moment with a spirit of adventure and gratitude.

As a member of River Bottom Cowboy Church in Warren, Indiana, Jessica embraced her faith and found a thriving community that reflected her love for fellowship and kindness. Her impact was felt far and wide, resonating through every life she touched with her gentle spirit.

Jessica is survived by her husband, Nathan, their children, and her cherished family: her mother, Joni Alstoft of Warren, Indiana; her father, Patrick Thomas (wife Tonya) of Upland, Indiana; her brothers, Casper, Benjamin, Nicholas, and Jordan; and countless friends who regarded her as a guiding light in their lives. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Bo Alsoft, whose memory will forever stay within the hearts of all who knew him.

Jessica's legacy will be carried on through the love she cultivated and the joyous memories she created. She will be profoundly missed, leaving behind an indelible mark on the lives she touched and an eternal echo of her laughter amidst the hearts of those she loved.
