Joe Nelson, age 92, a resident of Portland, passed away on September 6, 2026, at his home in Portland.
Joe was born on November 22, 1933, in Jay County, Indiana, the son of Chester “Chet” and Helen (Bash) Nelson. He worked at McDonald’s in Portland for many years.
Joe was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1950 and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Muncie.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Arrangements are entrusted to Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
