John Hoffman

John Hoffman, age 79, a resident of rural Bryant, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2026 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

John was born January 16, 1947, in Decatur, Indiana, the son of Loren and Mary (Hough) Hoffman. He graduated from Bryant High School in 1965 and worked for Delco Remy in Anderson, retiring in 2007 after 42 years of service. John married Jeanette Ashley on September 20, 1969.

His children: Janifer Price (husband Jeff) – Westfield, Indiana

Dee Hoffman – Bryant, Indiana

1 brother: Dan Hoffman (wife Sharon) – Bryant, Indiana

Several nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Darrel Borders will officiate and burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
