Joyce Wilson

Joyce L. Wilson age 76 passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her home in Portland.  She was employed in health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 32 years.  She was a member of the Mountain Assembly Church of God in New Castle, Indiana.

Joyce Wilson was born January 24, 1945 in New Castle, Indiana the daughter of Rev. Charles and Jessie Weaver.  She was married to Kenneth Wilson in 1988 and he preceded her in death in 2017.

Survivors Include:

2 Daughters- Amanda Taylor and Connie St. Myers, Portland, Indiana

Brother-  Rev. Henry Weaver (wife-Patricia), New Castle, Indiana

Sister- Norma Holmes, New Castle, Indiana

6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wilson, parents- Rev. Charles and Jessie Weaver, a daughter- Ronda Simpson, 2 Brothers- Jackie and Johnnie Weaver and a Sister- Becky Bumley.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 4:00pm-8:00pm Thursday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Private burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell Springs, Kentucky.
