Karen Upp, age 73 a resident of Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Jay County Hospital. She retired from Red Gold in Geneva after 29 years. She attended the Collett Church of the Nazarene and Fellowship Baptist Church.
Karen Upp was born August 3, 1943 in Jay County, Indiana the daughter of Robert and Mable (Pensinger) VanMater.
Survivors Include:
2 Daughters- Rhonda Cowan (husband-Phil), Portland
Leslie McIntire, Portland
1 Sister- Donna Wherry (husband-Bob), Portland
3 grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Friday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Hugh Kelly will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Bluff Point Cemetery, south of Portland.
