Kay Gillum, age 56, a resident of Portland, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2020 at IU Health Ball Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.

Kay was born on May 26, 1963, in Portland, Indiana the daughter of Reginald and Lois (Craig) Gillum. She graduated from Jay County high school in 1981. Kay worked at EP Graphics in Berne and FCC in Portland.

Her companion: Jeff Hodge Sr. – Portland, Indiana

4 sisters: Pam Best – Portland, Indiana

Cheryl Loper – Portland, Indiana

Brenda Gillum – Bryant, Indiana

Jackie Michael – Anderson, Indiana

2 step-daughters: Misty Smith – Van Wert, Ohio

Kristy Pogue – Hartford City, Indiana

1 step-son: Jeffery Hodge Jr. – New Haven, Indiana

8 step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held Tuesday May 19, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. A private graveside service will be held Wednesday at Gravel Hill Cemetery west of Bryant.  Due to State mandates, only 25 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time.  Please be aware that if you come you may have to wait.  The family and we at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home will do our best to accommodate you during this time.
