Kermit Geesaman, age 86, a resident of Pennville, passed away on Thursday, April 07, 2016, at Swiss Village in Berne.
Kermit was born on September 28, 1929, in Jay County, Indiana, the son of Fred and Mae (Hudson) Geesaman. Kermit helped build and served as Pastor of the First Assembly of God in Portland. He owned and operated Geesaman Feed and Grain in Pennville and farmed in Pennville for several years. He was owner and operator of his own trucking company for over 25 years. Kermit married Martha Cash on December 4, 1948 and she passed away on September 7, 2015.

Earl Geesaman (wife Cherrie) – Pennville, Indiana
Richard Geesaman – Texas
Tim Geesaman – Berne, Indiana
1 daughter: Connie Sue Ford – Lawn, Texas
2 brothers: Glen Geesaman – Pennville, Indiana
Gene Geesaman – rural Portland, Indiana
1 sister: Barb Lea – rural Dunkirk, Indiana
28 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Burial will follow in the Center Cemetery, west of Portland.
