Kim Brelsford

Kim Brelsford, age 62, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.

Kim was born on August 14, 1960, in Richmond, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Roach and Edna (Wickline) Mikesell.  She graduated from Richmond High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Ivy Tech.  Kim worked for over 40 years at IU Health Jay Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Technician.  She was a member of The Rock Church and The Joy Circle at Asbury United Methodist Church.  Kim married Robert “Bob” Brelsford on October 8, 1988.

Her husband:  Robert “Bob” Brelsford – Portland, Indiana

2 sons:  Sam Brelsford (wife Jess) – Portland, Indiana

Aaron Brelsford – Indianapolis, Indiana

Her siblings:  Gerald Roach (wife Emma) – Charlestown, Indiana

Deena Andrews (husband Chris) – Fountain City, Indiana

Doug Mikesell (wife Shawna) – Richmond, Indiana

Her mother:  Edna Mikesell – Richmond, Indiana

1 granddaughter and 3 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Services to celebrate Kim’s life will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Pastor Matt Ransom will officiate and burial will follow at Center Cemetery, west of Portland.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed towards The Rock Church in Portland, Indiana.
