Larry Snyder age 76, a resident of rural Bryant in Jackson Township, passed away on Monday, February 02, 2015, at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Larry was born on January 26, 1939, in Portland, Indiana, the son of John and Jeanette (Houser) Snyder. Larry farmed in Jackson Township for many years, drove school bus for the Jay School Corporation for 27 years and was a seed representative for Farm Craft Seed from 1958-1965. He served as precinct committeeman of Jackson Township for the Jay County Republican Party for 24 years. He married Wanda Kraner in 1988.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Paul VanCise will officiate and burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
Memorials may be directed towards the Bryant Wesleyan Church Building or Youth Fund.
