Leo C. Eads

Leo C. Eads, age 68, a resident of Portland, passed away on Thursday, October 09, 2014, at Jay County Hospital in Portland.  He was a former resident of Berne, Indiana.

Leo was born on December 25, 1945, in New Castle, Indiana, the son of Ed and Anna Marie (Barrier) Eads.  He worked for Ludwig’s Supermarket in Portland as a Produce and Store Manager for many years.  He attended The Bridge Church in Berne.    Leo married Linda Green on August 21, 1966.

His wife of 48 years:  Linda Eads – Portland, Indiana

1 daughter:  Leah Butcher (husband Eric) – Portland, Indiana

2 sisters:  Lorena Bullock – Dunkirk, Indiana

Louise Fugiett (husband Ernest) – Redkey, Indiana

2 brothers:  Les Eads (wife Pat) – Portland, Indiana

Pastor Larry Eads (wife Moretta) – Berne, Indiana

3 grandchildren:  Larissa, Erica and Austin Butcher

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.  Pastor Jeff Horsman and Pastor Larry Eads will officiate and burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, south of Redkey.

Memorials may be directed towards the donor’s choice.
