Linda Grider

Linda Grider, age 71, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at her home in Portland.

Linda was born on August 12, 1948 in Jay County, the daughter of Lawrence and Bonnie (Hall) Fisher.  She graduated from Portland High School in 1966 and worked as a school bus aide and waitress for Beals Restaurant for many years.

Linda married Hugh Butch Grider on December 18, 1981 and he passed away on February 23, 2015.

Her children:  Gary Grider (wife Deb) – Hartford City, Indiana

Mark Grider (wife Elizabeth) – Goose Creek, South Carolina

Mitchell Grider (wife Karen) – Milroy, Indiana

Kelli Shores (husband Tim) – Poneto, Indiana

1 sister:  Pat Fisher – Marion, Ohio

8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Hanks, 2 brothers Doug and Kenneth Fisher and a sister Carol Somers.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Antioch Cemetery, southeast of Portland.  Arrangements entrusted to Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
