Lois Deaton

Lois Deaton, age 78, a resident of Portland, passed away on November 30, 2022 in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Lois was born on September 9, 1944, in Jackson, Kentucky, the daughter of Arthur and Alpha (Combs) Gross.  She worked at Jay Garment and Standard Brush and Broom in Portland.  Lois married Henry Deaton on September 22, 1962 and he passed away on April 23, 2017.

Survivors include:

Her children:  Anthony “Tony” Deaton (wife Michelle) – Portland, Indiana

Sheila Twigg – Berne, Indiana

Grandchildren:  Elisabeth Lukich, Nicholas Tressler and Jacklyn Tressler

Great-grandchildren:  Hayden Lukich, Kiah Lukich, Savannah Curtis, Brooklyn Tressler, Sophia Tressler-Patterson and R.J. Tressler-Patterson

2 sisters-in-law’s:  Linda Deaton – Portland, Indiana

Emma Deaton – Kentucky

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Pastor Bryan Combs, Jr. will officiate the service and burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.

Memorials may be directed towards the family in care of the funeral home to assist with expenses.
