Lois G. Hough

Lois G. Hough, age 92, a resident of Redkey, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton.
Lois was born on February 7, 1921, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Orville and Majeska (McLaughlin) Bentz. She graduated from Portland High School in 1940. Lois married Harold Hough on January 25, 1941.
Lois and her husband owned and operated Hough's Market in Redkey for several years. She worked at McCords Five and Dime Store, Shambargers Restaurant in Redkey and was a collection agent for I&M General Electric, General Telephone Company and Indiana Gas Company.
Lois was a member of the Redkey United Methodist Church, Portland American Legion Auxiliary, 4-H and Cub Scouts. She served as a Senior Regent for the Portland Moose Auxiliary, was Past President of the Gamma Nu Sorority of Redkey, Past President of PTA in Redkey, and helped organize the first Christmas light display in Redkey and the Redkey Youth Center.

Duane Hough (wife Janet) - Greenville, Ohio
2 brothers: Marvin Bentz (wife Imogene) - Portland, Indiana
Ernest Bentz (wife Jo Ann) - Portland, Indiana
13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Randy Davis will officiate and burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey.
