Marie Schooley

Marie Schooley, age 83, a resident of Portland, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016, at her home in Portland. She worked for the Jay County Retirement Center for 4 years and the Community and Family Services Thrift Shop for several years.
Marie was born on April 2, 1933 in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of Dorsey and Garnet Beatrice (Doty) Atha. She was married in 1955 to Charles Schooley and he passed away in 1989.
Survivors Inlcude:
1 Son- Charles “Chuck” Schooley, Seattle, Washington
1 Daughter- Glee Felver, Bluffton, Indiana
Her caregiver- Hilda Morgan, Portland, Indiana
10 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by 2 sons-Burla and David Schooley and 2 daughters- Debbie and Nancy Schooley.
Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm Monday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral Services will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Phil Jellison officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery southeast of Portland.
