Marilyn M. Irelan

Marilyn M. Irelan, age 71, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at her home.

Marilyn was born on January 3, 1944, in Randolph County, Indiana, the daughter of Cecil and Catherine (Alexander) Wood.  She was self-employed home health care provider.   Marilyn was a member of the River of Life Church in Portland.  Marilyn married Jerry Irelan on February 14, 2008.

2 daughters:  Terry Hale (companion Todd Franks) – Portland, Indiana

Sandy Clack (companion Bill Androne) – Fort Recovery, Ohio

2 sons:  Jerry Hale (wife Linda) – Portland, Indiana

Todd Hale (wife Carol) – Dallas, Texas

3 step-daughters:  Sharon Hamilton (husband Ron) – Portland, Indiana

Trudy Wilhelm (husband Wayne) – Portland, Indiana

Helen “Billie” Beltz – Portland, Indiana

9 sisters:  Margaret Ashley (husband Corbett) – Avilla, Indiana

Joyce Lee – Union City, Indiana

Lucille Hummer – Portland, Indiana

Nancy Osborn (husband Charles) – Portland, Indiana

Susan Young – Vincennes, Indiana

Betty Aukerman (husband Don) – Greenville, Ohio

Vicki Blansett (husband Robert) – Winchester, Indiana

Jacqueline Henry – Sidney, Ohio

Linda Yount (husband Richard) – Union City, Ohio

1 brother:  Larry Wood (wife Laura) – Winchester, Indiana

11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Paula Honeycutt officiating.  Burial will follow at a later date in the Center Cemetery, west of Portland.
