Marion "Smiley" Pennington

Marion "Smiley" E. Pennington, age 84, a resident of the Jay County Retirement Home in rural Portland, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Marion was born on February 26, 1928, in Bluffton, Indiana, the son of William and Mary (Linn) Pennington. He farmed in Jay County for many years and worked for NAAS Foods for several years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Steve Arnold will officiate and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Memorials may be directed towards the Jay County Retirement Home Activity Fund.
