Mary Bryant

Mary Bryant, age 84 a resident of Portland passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Jay County Hospital.  She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland.  She was a loving mother and homemaker and had been employed at Arts Place in Portland.  She was a member of Tri Kappa Philanthropic Sorority in Portland.

Mary Bryant was born January 21, 1930 in North Manchester, Indiana the daughter of Gail and Iva (Bower) Hidy.  She was married on March 18, 1955 to Glen Bryant.

1 Son- Bill Bryant (wife-Holly), Muncie, Indiana

4 Daughters- Gena Coers (husband-John), Muncie, Indiana

Amy Sutton (husband-Mitch), Portland, Indiana

Betsy Fennig (husband-Jim), Portland, Indiana

Jan Bryant,  Angola, Indiana

1 Brother- Bryan Hidy (wife-Linda), Ft. Wayne, Indiana

4 Sisters- Bea Weesner, Ft. Wayne, Indiana

Phyllis Muzzillo (husband-Louis),  Auburn, Indiana

Barbara Prater, Warsaw, Indiana

Janice Frye, North Manchester,  Indiana

12 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter

She had two sons proceed her in death- Patrick and Mark Bryant

Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Thursday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday in the Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church.   Pastor Tim Dilley will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.

Memorials may be directed to Family Hospice of Berne or Asbury United Methodist Church.
