Mary M. Gainsford

Mary M. Gainsford, age 87, a former resident of Pennville, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Saint Anne’s Home in Fort Wayne.
Mary was born on February 25, 1928, in Polk County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Martineau) Goffena. She worked for Franklin Electric in Bluffton for 19 years. She was a member of the Penn Township Home Economics Club. She married Allan Gainsford on May 20, 2010 and he passed away on November 25, 2014.

Peg Hicks (husband Don) – Tennessee
2 sons: Jim Hawn – rural Portland, Indiana
John Hawn (wife Kathy) – rural Pennville, Indiana
2 sisters: Rita Paulic – Yarnell, Arizona
Arlene Furniss – Fort Wayne, Indiana
7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Roush.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. on Monday with Pastor Johnny C.G. Smith officiating.
Memorials may be directed towards the Jay Randolph Developmental Services or the Saint Anne Home in Fort Wayne.
