Mary E. Murphy, age 69, went home with the Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at her Penn Twp home following a long bout with cancer. She was a member of the Walnut Corner Church in Jay County. She was a member of the Pennville American Legion Auxiliary. She retired from Bluffton Rubber Co. in Montpelier in 2007 after 12 years. She was an avid crafter and gardener and loved all of God’s animals.
Mary Murphy was born April 16, 1944 in Hartford City, Indiana the daughter of Emmett and Catherine (Buffenbarger) Engle. She was married on June 2, 1980 to Jim Murphy who survives.

JoAnn Jordan, Allegan, Michigan
9 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren
1 Daughter preceded in death- Charrene Elkins
1 Brother preceded in death- Edward Engle
Visitation will be held from 1-3pm and 5-7pm on Monday in the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday at the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Rogers will officiate the services. Private burial will be held at Center Cemetery, west of Portland.
Family requests memorials in lieu of flowers be directed to Walnut Corner Church or the Jay County Cancer Society.
