Mary E. Scott

Mary E. Scott, age 77 a resident of Portland passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 in the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She worked at Smith Brothers in Berne for several years. She then worked for Marsh Supermarket in the bakery in Portland.
Mary Scott was born November 7, 1937 in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of Walter and Garnet (Starr) Coons. She was married December 7, 1953 to Tom Scott.

Stacy Jordan (husband- Chad), Union City, Ohio
1 Brother- Donald Coons, Linn Grove, Indiana
14 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 1-5pm Sunday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral home in Portland. Pastor Steve Arnold will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Wells Cemetery northwest of Portland.
Memorials may be directed to the Jay County Cancer Society or the Jay County Heart Fund.
