Max D. Boughman

Max Boughman, age 82, a resident of Portland passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Max was born on July 13, 1934, in Jay County, Indiana, the son of Fred and Mildred (Houser) Boughman. He graduated from Portland High School and Nelson University in Hampton, Virginia. Max served 20 years in the Navy and served during Vietnam. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 96 in Lima also was part of the Fleet Reserve Association since 1997. Max married Catalina Abdusan on November 19, 1955. Catalina passed away on October 21, 2007.

Sister-in-law: Sue Boughman – Portland, Indiana
Aunt: Jean Sime – South Dakota
Several nieces and nephews
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Darrell Borders will officiate and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland. The American Legion Post #211 of Portland will conduct military graveside rites.
Memorials may be directed towards the donor’s choice.
