Michael “Mike” Martin, age 75, a resident of Portland, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Chalet Village in Berne, Indiana.
Mike was born on September 12, 1941, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Ora and Edwina Jean (Bright) Martin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the Portland Teledyne Forge after 42 years of service. He married Susie Isenhart on May 12, 1973.

16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a son, Bob Martin and 2 step-children, Greg Shaneyfelt and Julie Shaneyfelt.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Dave Peters will officiate the services. American Legion Post 211 will conduct military rites at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Green Park Cemetery, Portland.
