Mitchell Dean Farber, age 52, a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his home in Phoenix.
Mitch was born on October 10, 1962, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Richard “Dick” and Janet Farber. He was a 1981 graduate of Jay County High School. He graduated from Vincennes University with a degree in printing technology and also attended Ball State University. After college he lived in Florida, South Carolina and Indianapolis, before relocating to Phoenix in 1993. After several years living in Phoenix he moved to Laguna Beach, California, before returning again to Phoenix in 2005.
Mitch was a call center lead for Teletech for more than 3 years and also worked in media sales for VSG, Next Generation Median and Allied Vaughn for nearly 17 years.
Mitch was a social man who loved to landscape, hike, travel, remodel homes and entertain guests. Most of all, he was devoted to his family, friends and serving those he loved. His favorite type of travel was to Laguna Beach and trips to Indiana to see his family and longtime friends.

His Siamese cat, Sammy
He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Farber in 2009.
A big thank you goes to his numerous friends in Phoenix, but especially Steve Perez, Linda Stone, Sandra Leal and Marilyn Carroll, who helped care for him in recent months.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Paul VanCise officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
