Naomi Toumey
December 28, 1920 — August 13, 2015
Naomi P. Toumey, age 94, a former resident of rural Dunkirk, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Signature Health Care in Bremen, Indiana.
Naomi was born on December 28, 1920, in Randolph County, Indiana, the daughter of Harry and Blanch (Mann) Fisher. She graduated from Saratoga High School in Saratoga, Indiana. She was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church and attended the Faith Evangelical Church in rural Dunkirk. She worked for Kerr Glass in Dunkirk for 25 years. She was a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Naomi married John Toumey on August 20, 1942 and he passed away on July 1, 2002.
Survivors include:
1 son: John F. Toumey (wife Susan) – Bremen, Indiana
2 grandsons- Jeffrey Toumey (wife-Kami) and Matthew Bammerlin (wife-Debbie)
6 great grandchildren
Her daughter, Kathryn Toumey preceded her in death on May 16, 2013
Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Lawndale Cemetery, west of Deerfield, Indiana.
