Nellie Stone, age 74, a resident of Muncie, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at her home in Muncie.
Nellie was born on December 30, 1942, in Portland, Indiana the daughter of Ezra and Dorothy (Bandcroft) Burkey. She graduated from Portland High School in 1961. She was a driver for Amish for many years.

4 daughters: Sue Anne Petschke (husband David) – Portland, Indiana
Dorothy Manning – Prattsville, Arkansas
Nellie Jean Shillings – Winchester, Indiana
Maxine Flatt – Muncie, Indiana
2 sons: William Stone, Jr. (wife Christy) - Prattsville, Arkansas
Lonnie Stone – St. Joseph Missouri
1 sister: Annetta Post - Celina, Ohio
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stone.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Herb Hummel will officiate and burial will follow at a later date in Little Salamonia Cemetery.
