Nilah Hudson

Nilah Hudson, age 79 a resident of Salamonia, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Albany Health and Rehabilitation in Albany.

Nilah was born on November 12, 1941, in Jay County, the daughter of John and Eunice (Denny) Landers.  She married Waldo James Hudson, Sr. on January 7, 1960.

Her husband:  Waldo  Hudson, Sr. – Salamonia, Indiana

3 sons:  Waldo Hudson, Jr. (wife Rebecca) – rural Portland, Indiana

Tim Hudson (wife Ruth Ann) – Portland, Indiana

Doug Hudson – Salamonia, Indiana

1 daughter:  Cathy Hudson – Kokomo, Indiana

1 sister:  Margaret Gray – Hartford City, Indiana

Son-in-law:  David Clevenger - Pennville, Indiana

9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Clevenger and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday from 11a.m. -1 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Services to celebrate Nilah’s life will follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.  Pastor Bruce Phillips will officiate the service and burial will follow in Salamonia Cemetery.
