Oddrie Guntle, Jr.

Oddrie Guntle Jr., Age 84, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at his home.

Oddrie was born July 19, 1940, the son of Oddrie Sr. and Christina (Landers) Guntle. Oddrie served in the National Guard and was a bus driver for over 27 years for the Jay School Corporation.

Oddrie was married Sally Mckibben in 1965 she passed away on September 21, 2019.

Survivors Include:

2 sons: Barry Guntle – Portland, Indiana

David Guntle – Portland, Indiana

2 daughters: Tracey Winget – Redkey, Indiana

Lori Estep – Redkey, Indiana

A sister: Alberta Wible – Portland, Indiana

17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by a son Van Guntle, a brother Raymond Guntle, a sister Irene Lykins, and his parents Oddrie Guntle Sr. and Christina Guntle.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
