Peggy Blevins

Peggy Blevins, age 95, a resident of Pennville, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at Envive Healthcare.

Peggy was born April 2, 1931, in Imboden, Virginia, to Roy Tankersley, Sr. and Vera (Sage) Tankersley. She worked for many years at Daniel Brothers Slaughtering in Pennville. She was a member of Pennville Friends Church and Pennville American Legion Auxiliary. She married Edward Blevins, Sr. on July 31, 1948 and he passed away on April 25, 1986.

Sharon Hott – Pennville

Teresa Decker (companion Ron Philebaum) – Marion

Debi Taylor (Steve) – Pennville

1 brother: Glenn Tankersley (Deborah) – Virginia Beach, Virginia

Grandchildren: Michelle Foster (Wes), Amy Norton (Kent), Brian Blevins (Jamie), Amanda Decker, Stacy Harris, Kendra Bennett (James) and Eric Taylor (Melissa)

Great grandchildren: Brandon Foster (Taylor), Katie McDonald (Austin), Lane Norton, Brian Blevins, Jr., Noah Blevins, Mila Amstutz, Liam Amstutz, Kimber Kunkle (Cameron), Devin Harris, Adam Foster (Amber), Nick Bennett, Balis Bennett, Lachlan Bennett, Aaron Cross, and Holley Taylor

Great-great grandchildren: Remi Kunkle, Rowen Kunkle, Ramsey Kunkle and Archie Foster.

She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandson, Nickolas Taylor

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 10, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Steve Conner will officiate and burial will follow at IOOF Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville.
