Reiko Sockrider

Reiko Sockrider, age 89 a former Portland resident passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at her home in Indianapolis.  She retired from CTS in Berne after 29 years.  She attended the First Baptist Church in Portland.

Reiko Sockrider was born March 2, 1929 in Yokohama, Japan the daughter of Taeroku and Mitue (Ageoka) Hashimoto.  She was married to Luther Sockrider on May 28, 1953.

Survivors Include:

Her beloved husband- Luther Sockrider, Indianapolis, Indiana

Daughter- Carolyn Longoria (husband-Max), Indianapolis, Indiana

2 Sisters in law- Mary Lu Premer, Pennville, Indiana

Alta Slusser, Portland, Indiana

4 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren

1 Brother preceded in death- Yasuo Hashimoto.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm Thursday in the Chapel at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.  Jim Wright will officiate the services.  Visitation will be held an hour prior to the services in the Chapel.
