Richard Brown

Richard Brown, age 56, a former Portland resident passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at his home in Winchester.  He was a member of the Family Worship Center in Portland.  Richard worked as a transport driver for Hillcroft Services in Muncie.  He also worked several years at Fleetwood in Decatur, Indiana.  Richard enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR and attending church activities.

Richard was born July 22, 1959 in Portland, Indiana the son of Robert B. and Margaret (Bower) Brown.  He was married on July 8, 2009 to Cindy Cox.

His beloved wife- Cindy Brown, Winchester, Indiana

1 Son- Greg Brown (wife-Dawn), Winchester, Indiana

1 Daughter- Marisa Moore,  (husband-West), Redkey, Indiana

3 Step Daughters- Nicole Hoover, (husband-Adam), Winchester, Indiana

Krystal McConnell,  (husband-Mike), Muncie, Indiana

Hailey Crist, Winchester, Indiana

His Father- Robert B. Brown, Portland, Indiana

1 Brother- Bobby Brown (wife-Ann), Portland, Indiana

3 Sisters- Rosa Hiatt, Berne, Indiana

Louise Harter (husband-Duane), Portland, Indiana

Brenda Kay Chapman (husband-Jim), Portland, Indiana

12 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson

He was preceded in death by his mother- Margaret Brown.

Visitation will be held from 3-8pm on Thursday in the Family Worship Center,  200 E. Elder St., Portland, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Friday at the Family Worship Center in Portland.  Pastors David Wade and Ron Willis will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.

Memorials may be directed to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospice, or Cancer Services of Randolph County.
