Richard "Dick" Ridgway

Richard “Dick” Ridgway, age 83, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

Dick was born on August 21, 1939, in Pennville, Indiana, the son of William and Violet (Taylor) Ridgway.  Dick graduated from Portland High School in 1957 and worked for Jay Products in Portland for 26 years, retiring in 1996.  He was a life member of the Portland Moose Lodge.  He married Sharon Fluckiger on August 7, 1959 and she passed away on February 13, 2009.

Vickie Brewer – Peru, Indiana

Kimberlie Smith (husband Lee) – Columbus, Indiana

Rick Ridgway – Naperville, Illinois

5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Barker.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Pastor Steve Arnold will officiate the service and burial will follow at IOOF Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville.
