Rickie J. Roser, age 59, a resident of Portland, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Persimmon Ridge in Portland following an extended illness.
Rickie was born on February 14, 1954, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Albert "Gene" and Christine (Smith) Roser. He worked for Decatur Casting for 10 years. He served as a bartender for 30 years in various bars in Portland including Tom and Rods, American Bar and Pits Lounge. He was a member of the Portland Eagles Lodge and the American Legion in Ridgeville.

4 brothers: Reggie Roser (Partner Ricky Flueckiger) - Muncie, Indiana
Michael Roser - Portland, Indiana
Eddie Roser - Muncie, Indiana
Chris Roser (wife Tonya) - Portland, Indiana
Several nieces and nephews, including Jeff Roser and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Phill Jellison will officiate and burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
Memorials may be directed towards State of the Heart Hospice.
