Robert Brown

Robert Brown, age 88, a resident of rural Union City, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at his daughter’s home in rural Portland.

Robert was born on October 10, 1934, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Everett and Devona (McGriff) Brown.  He graduated from Portland High School in 1954 and retired from Ross Mould International where he worked as a Glass Mould Design Engineer.  Robert became a witness on May 20, 1961 and served as an elder and minister within Jehovah’s Witness.  Robert married Scherlene Hendricks-Devroy on January 6, 1956.

His wife of 67 years:  Scherlene Brown – rural Union City, Indiana

3 daughters:  Katherine Osborne (husband Paul) – Portland, Indiana

Roma Warren – Muncie, Indiana

Devona Lemley – Union City, Indiana

1 sister:  Karen Foltz (husband Donald) – Plano, Texas

1 brother:  Ron Brown (wife Shelby) – Tulsa, Oklahoma

6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Arvin Brown.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4405 N. Walnut St., Muncie, Indiana 47303.
