Robert Fairchild

Robert Fairchild, age 62 a resident of Portland passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.
Robert was born on August 28, 1955, in Libertyville, Illinois, the son of William and Lucille (Bleile) Fairchild. He graduated from Portland High School in 1973 and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Robert worked for International Paper in Portland and was a member of the Portland Moose Lodge. He was an avid golfer and recorded a hole-in-one.

2 daughters: Jody Huey – Portland, Indiana
Jamie Fairchild – Portland, Indiana
2 sisters: Donna Bailey – Portland, Indiana
Faye Bailey (husband Robert) – Portland, Indiana
His parents: William and Lucille Fairchild – Portland, Indiana
3 grandchildren
2 nephews and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Fairchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the IOOF Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville.
