Roberta Lyons

Roberta L. Lyons, age 92, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Roberta was born on October 1, 1920, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Ray L. and Ina F. (Leonhard) Freemyer. She graduated from Madison Township High School in 1938. She worked as a clerk at Murphy's Dime Store in Portland for several years. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where she was involved with the Wesleyan Circle. Roberta married Bob Lyons on January 1, 1947 and he passed away on April 27, 1980.

1 sister: Alberta Beeks - Bradenton, Florida
3 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren
1 Son Deceased- Mickey Lyons
2 Grandchildren deceased
Visitation for Roberta will be held on Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Graveside services will follow at the Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, Indiana with Tom Lightle officiating.
