Robert "Bob" Straley

Robert “Bob” Straley, age 77 a resident of Portland passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.  He owned and operated Straley Garage, northwest of Portland and retired in 2002 after many years.  He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Portland Moose Lodge and the Portland American Legion Post 211.

Robert Straley was born September 23, 1936 in Delaware County, Indiana the son of Paul and Ruby (Minch) Straley.  He was married November 18, 1966 to Janetta Leverich Miller and she passed away on January 19, 2014.

Survivors Include:

2 Sons- Richard Straley (wife-Connie), Portland, Indiana

David Straley (wife-Pam), Geneva, Indiana

1 Step Daughter- Vicki Miller, Portland, Indiana

1 Sister:  Betty Foltz – Elkhart, Indiana

1 Step son preceded in death- Kirby Miller

2 Grandchildren and 3  Great Grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm Monday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.

Funeral services will be at 11am Tuesday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.

Pastor Jason Rice will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Center Cemetery, west of Portland.  Portland American Legion Post 211 with be in charge of military graveside rites at the cemetery
