Rodger Culy

Rodger Culy, age 51, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

Rodger was born on March 5, 1970, in Portland, the son of Ronald and Norma Jean (Garringer) Culy.  He graduated from Jay County High School.  Rodger owned and operated Flat Rock Trucking in Portland.  Rodger enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming, boating, riding his motorcycle and dirt bikes.  He married Melissa Ferguson on November 16, 1996.

His wife:  Melissa Culy - Portland, Indiana

2 daughters:  Ashley Culy – Ft. Wayne, Indiana

Alissa Johnson (husband Chance) – Hartford City, Indiana

His mother:  Norma Culy – Portland, Indiana

2 grandchildren; Colton and Ayden

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Services to celebrate Rodger’s life will follow at 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the funeral home.
