Roger D. Smith, age 59, a resident of Portland passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He retired from Teledyne Portland Forge after 26 years. He graduated in 1972 from Portland High School.
Roger D. Smith was born July 21, 1954 in Portland, Indiana the son of Donald and Ollie (Love) Smith.
Survivors Include:
1 Son- Matthew Smith, Lima, Ohio
1 Daughter- Jama Swygart, Ft. Wayne, Indiana
1 Brother- Allen D. Smith, Portland, Indiana
3 Grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 3-7pm on Wednesday at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Randy Smith will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Little Salamonia Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
