Ronald Berry

Ronald “Ron” Berry, age 85, a resident of Portland, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.

Ron was born October 12, 1939, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, the son of Russell and Eskleen Berry.  He married Shirley Anne Swafford on December 4, 1960 and she passed away on January 31, 2016.

Ron worked for Indiana Glass in Dunkirk.  Ron was a musician with Rock Creek Band and was inducted to the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.  He enjoyed going to sales and buying antiques.

Survivors include:

1 daughter:  Pamela Lothridge (husband Steve) – Portland, Indiana

Siblings:  Tracy Calton – Mt. Sterling, Kentucky

Terry Berry (wife Sue) – Frenchburg, Kentucky

6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson

He was preceded in death by his wife; Shirley Anne Berry and three children; Ronald Berry, Jr., Christopher Berry and Javis Berry.
