Ruth O. Stocker

Ruth O. Stocker, age 92, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor in Dunkirk.
Ruth was born on January 27, 1920, in Montpelier, Indiana, the daughter of John L. and Gladys R. (Steen) Weaver. She was a member of the Portland Moose Lodge Auxiliary and the Portland Eagles Lodge. She married Harold B. Stocker on November 12, 1935 and he passed away on March 27, 1993.

2 sons: Jack E. Stocker (wife Norma) - Dunkirk, Indiana
Fred A. Stocker (wife Lynda) - Anderson, Indiana
2 daughters: Barbara Meek - Portland, Indiana
Janet Beeson (husband James) - Dunkirk, Indiana
1 sister: Genevieve Schoeff - Middle Point, Ohio
20 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 75 great-great grandchildren and 4 great-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Hugh Kelly will officiate and burial will follow in the Wells Cemetery, northwest of Portland.
