Sara Perod

Sara Perod, age 77, a resident of Portland, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Albany Health Care in Albany, Indiana.

Sara was born on September 12, 1944, in Paraguay, South America, the daughter of Carlos and Aurelia Ramirez.  She worked as a translator for the Paraguay Government for several years.  Sara enjoyed dancing and was always the life of any event she attended.  Sara loved her grandchildren and was a loving grandmother to all of them.  She was a very giving person and was always willing to help anyone in need.  Sara married Roger Perod on July 24, 1975.

Her husband:  Roger Perod – Portland, Indiana

2 daughters:  Vanessa Perod – New York City, New York

Evelynn Perod – Portland, Indiana

2 sons:  Edward Perod – Portland, Indiana

Richard Perod – Portland, Indiana

1 sister:  Maria Aurelia Langenbach – Germany

11 grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters

She was preceded in death by a brother; Carlos Ramirez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.  Services to celebrate Sara’s life will follow at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
