Sharon Cooper, age 48 a Portland resident passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie following an extended illness.

She was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Dunkirk.  She worked at FCC in Portland and IMA in Berne.

Sharon Cooper was born March 4, 1968 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of Clifford and Sandy (Harrison) Smith.  She was married on January 28, 1995 to Robert Cooper.

Survivors Include:

Her beloved husband- Robert Cooper, Portland, Indiana

Her Parents- Clifford and Sandy Smith, Geneva, Indiana

1 Son- Robert Cooper, Portland, Indiana

2 Daughters- Tina Hill, Decatur, Indiana

Linsey Hill, Portland, Indiana

3 Sisters- Sonja Smith-McPherson, Decatur, Indiana

Sheila Vanskyock (husband-Bob), Portland, Indiana

Sheryl Wheeler (husband-Ed),  Decatur, Indiana

2 Brothers-  Clifford Smith – Geneva, Indiana

Jimmy Smith, Indianapolis, Indiana

3 Grandchildren – Caleb, Elva and Nate

Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,  1865 S. SR 167, Dunkirk, Indiana.  Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the church.   Elder James Steele will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Dunkirk IOOF Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed towards the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation.
